The Weekly Witness 3/22/2024

From the Priest-in-Charge

I want to thank all of you for the faithful prayers regarding my surgery and recovery this past week.  I could sense your thoughts and prayers wash over me as the Lord’s healing power went to work.  Thanks be to God!

Kids & God @ Home

Ask your children: How can you get the most from every mistake you make?

Scripture meditation: God does not deal harshly with us… God is like a tender and compassionate father…. He knows how weak we are…. The love of the Lord remains forever. Psalm 103 (NLT)

Main idea: We all make mistakes. Then sometimes we feel embarrassed, or we tell ourselves we are no good, or we believe something terrible will happen because of our mistakes. Why not see our mistakes like God does? And then think about how we can learn from them?

Evening Prayer

Join us this evening, March 22, for the final Evening Prayer service, 5:30 p.m. in the chapel.

Reconciliation of a Penitent during Lent: Father Mark will be available to hear private confessions and pronounce absolution immediately following the Evening Prayer service on Fridays. At other times, call 785-220-5528 to make an appointment.

Easter Flowers

Proclaim Christ’s Resurrection with Flowers!  To place an order, use the special envelopes (found in the pews).  Please complete the front portion of the envelope and return it, with a check or cash, to the offering plate or to the office by Monday, March 25.  All dedications will be printed in the Easter bulletin.
