The Sanctuary Candle is given to the Glory of God and in thanksgiving for the birthdays of Craig Jesenick, Vivian Gillispie, and Nancy Ypma by Henry Evans.

Welcome Father Samson! Today, we welcome The Rev. Clive Samson to the pulpit. He will preach and celebrate at both Eucharists.

Christian Formation

Adult Forum – The Adult Forum is offered on Sunday mornings, 9:15 a.m. in the Parish Hall. This Fall, the forum is studying The New Testament You Never Knew: Exploring the Context, Purpose, and Meaning of the Story of God by N.T. Wright and Michael F. Bird. This course provides a behind-the-scenes look at the New Testament. Today’s class will focus on Unit 6, The Early Christians and the Church.

St. George’s Goes to the Symphony A St. George’s Friday morning outing to Powell Hall is in the planning stage. The St Louis Symphony hosts a series of morning concerts, and the following classical pieces are being performed on Friday, January 31 at 10:30 a.m.: Schumann – Manfred Overture, Mendelssohn – Piano Concerto No. 2, and Tchaikovsky – the Sleeping Beauty Suite. Tickets will cost between $40.00 and $60.00 (depending upon group size). The group rate is available for 10 or more participants.

Our own Dr. Nancy Ypma has offered to share her expertise on these composers during the Jan 19 and 26 Adult Forums.

Become a Coffee Hour Host! Coffee Hour Coordinator, Frank Rogers, is extending an invitation to all parishioners to host a coffee hour.
