Today

Adult Forum: meets on Sunday mornings, 9:15 a.m. in the parish hall. Today the forum continues with the showing of Diarmaid MacCulloch’s DVD, The History of Christianity, Part IV. This DVD highlights Christianity and the Enlightenment.

 Sunday, June 24

The Community Service Commission will meet on June 24, 9:15 a.m. in the conference room. This group helps the needy in a variety of ways. All parishioners can participate and are welcome to attend this meeting.

 

Wednesday, June 27

The WEDG (Women’s Ecumenical Dining Group), will be gathering for dinner, 6 pm, on Wednesday, June 27th. We will be going to Peel Wood Fired Pizza, phone 726-2244, located at 104 South Cherry Street, O’Fallon. Ladies, aged 18 and above, please call the church office, 233-6320, for reservations (headcount). So please come for Good Fun, Good Food, and Good Conversation. Hope to see you there!

 

Thursday, June 28

Exciting, electrifying, edifying and downright fun are some of the superlatives that have been used to describe St. George’s new Book Club. Their next meeting convenes on Thursday, June 28, 5:30 p.m. at the Abbey Restaurant, 5801 West Main St, Belleville, IL. The book for discussion is John Berendt’s Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Henry Evans will lead the discussion. All parishioners and friends are invited to attend. Mat Making will take place Thursday, June 21, 10 a.m.-noon at St Michael’s Episcopal Church, O’Fallon, IL. These sleeping mats are easily crocheted. They will be distributed to the homeless. For additional information, contact Judy Payne at jtpayne141@gmail.com. St. Michael’s Church is located at 111 O’Fallon Troy Rd, O’Fallon, IL.

Perc Up Your Sunday Morning at Coffee Hour! Volunteers are needed to host coffee hour. Hosting a coffee hour is easy and fun. Coffee supplies are provided by the church. Volunteers are asked to provide store-bought or homemade refreshments. For St. George’s gourmet cooks, this could be an outlet for culinary creativity! New volunteers are always welcome.
