SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR ALL AGES

Children and youth gather in the Chapel at 9:00 am to sing and share good news before moving to classes. Ages 3 thru 5th grade use Godly Play. Our teens’ lessons are prepared by Brian Maves.

The Rector’s Forum meets in the parish hall at 9:10, where Father Dale is teaching verse by verse through the Gospel of Mark. Bring your bibles and join us.

The Lambeth Bible Study, a second option for adults, meets in the conference room at 9:10. Everyone is welcome.

St. George’s Annual Meeting is next Sunday – We will provide lunch after the 10:30 service (no cost, donations gratefully accepted), and then move back into the church for our meeting between 12:30 and 12:45. Lumley Bevineau, Tom Boschert, and Steve Skaff have been nominated to serve on the Vestry, and we need one more! If you are interested in serving as a member of the Vestry or as a Deanery/Diocesan delegate, please speak to Senior Warden Frank Rogers or Junior Warden Candi Hamill. Members who are communicants in Good Standing, 16 or older, and have been faithful in attending worship, in praying, working, and giving for the spread of the Kingdom of God are eligible to stand for election and to vote.

Come for Good Fun, Good Food, and Good Conversation – Ole!!!

Coffee Hour Hosts – We have ten families/groups who take turns hosting coffee hour after the 10:30 service, but we would love to have a few more! If you might be able to take a turn making coffee and providing some simple refreshments, please speak to Sarah Surrey or Deacon Jody.

Florence Martin Scholarships – St. George’s has funds to provide several scholarships for the 2016-17 school year to our members who have a high school diploma or GED and are continuing their education. The Application and instructions are available on our website, or by contacting the church office. Deadline to return all required documents to the parish office is March 1.

———————————————————————

All baptized persons are welcome to receive Communion. We believe this is Christ’s Body and Blood, according to Christ’s very promise, not “chip and dip”. Therefore, one appropriately receives the consecrated wafer on your hands (right hand over left) and raises it to your mouth, or receives it directly on your tongue. Then assist the chalice bearer in guiding the chalice to your lips. If for personal reasons you wish to receive by “intinction”, leave the host on your palm and the chalice bearer will pick it up, intinct it, and place it on your tongue. Do not intinct yourself – this prevents fingers touching the wine. If you do not wish to receive the chalice, please indicate this by crossing your arms over your chest.

———————————————————————

If you would like unction (anointing with oil and prayer for healing by the priest), please indicate this at the altar rail. For those who wish, members of the Order of St. Luke are also available (near the votive candles on the south wall) to offer additional healing prayer after you have received communion.
