Flower Calendar and Sanctuary Light – There are still a few dates available on the Flower Calendar for anyone who wishes to sponsor flowers in honor or memory of a person or event. Flowers are $40 a Sunday. And there are many Sunday’s available for someone to sponsor the Sanctuary Light, which is only $5 a week. Signup sheets are on the bulletin board in the narthex.
Sunday School Teachers – We need a few more teachers for the 2015-2016 school year. Teachers are only on duty once every few weeks, and our Godly Play curriculum makes teaching easy! Each week there is a Storyteller, who uses the Godly Play Lesson provided, and a Door Person, who greets the students and sets up snack. For more information, please contact our Sunday School Coordinator Mae Scott at email@example.com.
How to receive Communion – This is Christ’s Body and Blood. Receive the consecrated wafer in your hands and raise it to your mouth, or receive it directly on your tongue. (A gluten-free host is available – let us know if you need this option.) Assist in guiding the Chalice to your lips. If for personal reasons such as illness you wish to receive by “intinction”, leave the host on your palm and the Chalice Bearer will pick it up, intinct and place it on your tongue. Do not intinct yourself – this prevents fingers touching the wine. If you do not wish to receive the chalice, cross your arms over your chest.
If you would like unction (anointing and healing prayer by the priest), please indicate this at the altar rail. Members of the Order of St. Luke are available for additional prayer for those who wish.
Restrooms are on the lower level. The stairway is just off the entrance and an accessibility lift is located in the narthex.
Child Care is available for infants to age six from 9:00 – 11:45 am. The Nursery is at top of the stairs in the Sunday School Building.
Assistive listening devices and large print copies of the Book of Common Prayer and Hymnal selections are available in the narthex.
