Sunday School Classes for all Ages:

Children and youth gather in the Chapel at 9:00 am to sing and pray together before moving to their classrooms. Children age 3 through 5th grade use Godly Play, and our teens use Living the Good News.

The Rector’s Forum meets in the Parish Hall at 9:10. We are studying the Christian faith and life from an Anglican and Episcopalian point of view. Everyone is welcome.

The Lambeth Bible Study, an experiential and meditative approach to scripture, is a second choice for adults on Sunday mornings. This group meets in the Conference Room at 9:15 each week.

Food Pantry Organization Meeting – Anyone who is interested in doing any small part to help our food pantry is invited to a meeting this afternoon at 4:00 pm to talk and organize. We need volunteers for everything from picking up orders or stocking the shelves (hopefully on a rotating basis), to considering the food we currently provide our clients, to making sure schools, scouts, and other organizations know we are here and need their donations. Please come and help us reorganize!

Our Annual Meeting will take place Sunday, January 25. We will provide lunch after the 10:30 service (no cost, but donations are gratefully accepted), then move back to the church for the meeting.

If you are interested in serving as a member of the Vestry or Toddhall Board or as a delegate, please speak to Brian Maves, Chuck Evans, or Michelle Ziegler. Communicants in Good Standing who are 16 or older and who have been faithful in attending worship, and in praying, working, and giving for the spread of the Kingdom of God are eligible to stand for election and to vote at the Annual Meeting.

If you are the chair or head of any commission, group or ministry at St. George’s, the deadline for your 2014 reports is January 15.

If you would like unction (anointing and healing prayer by the priest), please indicate this at the altar rail. Members of the Order of St. Luke are available for additional prayer for those who wish.

How to receive Communion – This is Christ’s Body and Blood. Receive the consecrated wafer in your hands and raise it to your mouth to consume, or receive it directly on your tongue. (A Gluten Free host is available – let us know if you need this option.) Assist in guiding the Chalice to your lips. If for personal reasons such as illness you wish to receive by “intinction”, leave the wafer on your palm and the Chalice Bearer will pick it up, intinct and place it on your tongue. Do not intinct yourself – this prevents fingers from touching the wine. If you do not wish to receive the chalice, cross your arms over your chest.
