Welcome to St. George’s. We are glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. Please sign our guest book and join us for refreshments and fellowship after each service.

The new Sunday School begins today, with classes for all ages. Children will gather in the Chapel at 9:00 am, the Rector’s Forum begins at 9:10 am in the Parish Hall.  We will commission our Sunday School teachers at the 10:30 service next Sunday, September 14.

Rector’s Forum – Beginning this morning, Father Dale will lead a class on Christian faith and life from an Anglican and Episcopalian point of view.  We will cover everything from Jesus as the center of our faith and his life and ministry to the Kingdom of God; the Apostolic Community and the Holy Spirit to the Church as a Sacrament of Christ; Church History (the early church and the Creeds, Middle Ages, Reformation, the English Church and the Anglican Communion) to the Book of Common Prayer and the Sacraments of the Church.  Bring your Bibles!

Do you love to sing? Come join the choirs at St. George’s! Choristers is open to children from 2nd to 7th grade and rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.  The children learn to sing but also learn about St. George, the church, and how to read music.  The Adult Choir welcomes high school students and adults of all ages.  Rehearsals are from 7:30 – 9:00 pm on Wednesdays.  For more information, please call Nancy Ypma. As St. Augustine said, “those who sing pray twice”!

The WEDG (Women’s Ecumenical Dining Group), will be gathering at Bella Milano Restaurant in O’Fallon, Regency Drive, for LUNCH on Thursday, September 11, at 11:30 am. Please call the church office, 233-6320, for a reservation.

Darrow Deanery will meet at St. George’s on Saturday, September 21. We will be preparing for the Diocesan Synod in October, including reviewing the proposed budget, nominees for Diocesan offices, and any resolutions that have been submitted.  Deanery and Diocesan Delegates should plan to be here, and anyone who is interested in attending just to hear about events in our Diocese is welcome.

Church Grounds – Helpers are needed to mow, edge and trim the church lawn during October.  If you can help one week (or more!), please contact the Church Office with your name and phone number.
