Donate School Supplies – The Community Service Commission is collecting school supplies for the Franklin Neighborhood Association.  Please bring donations to the narthex or to the church office  between July 6 and August 3.

Supplies needed include: Folders, crayons, pencils, colored pencils, colored markers, highlighters, pencil sharpeners, notebooks, backpacks, school glue, glue sticks, erasers, note cards, scissors, book covers, pencil boxes, flashcards (math & alphabet), E-Z writing tablets, loose-leaf wide-ruled paper, 3-ring binders, indexed dividers for binders, protractors, rulers, compasses, calculators, tissue, and hand sanitizer.

To Parents of young children, may we suggest: Relax, God put the wiggle in children. Don’t feel you have to suppress it here. Sit toward the front: children will be more attentive when they can see what’s going on. Explain the parts of the service, and help you child follow along with the printed parts of the service and the hymns. Sing, pray, and respond. Your child will learn by copying you. If your child needs to leave, please do so, but please come back!
