Happy Mother’s Day!

Welcome to St. George’s. We are glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. Please sign our guest book and join us for refreshments and fellowship after each service.

Welcome Bishop Daniel and Brenda Martins. Bishop Daniel will preach and celebrate this morning.  He will also speak at the Rector’s Forum about his personal Faith Journey.

Children and Youth gather in the Chapel at 9:00 am for our Sunday School opening before heading to their classrooms: Godly Play for children age 3 through the 5th grade, and Living the Good News for Junior and Senior High students.

Today St. George’s Choristers receive their new ribbons, which symbolize the progress they have made during the year. For each ribbon, the Chorister must learn about the church and music fundamentals. Please congratulate Ben and Liz Viguerie, Shelby and Dakota Lavely, Ann Miller and Eliza Kammann on their achievements!

St. George’s Annual Parish Picnic is June 8!  The 8:00 am service will take place as usual, but the second service will take place at Toddhall at 11:00 am.  Afterwards, we will have a picnic (we proved hamburgers and hotdogs – you bring sides and deserts), and then it’s time for the famous “Blooper Ball Tournament” – Sunday School students and teachers vs. clergy and vestry.  Join us for Food, Fun, and Fellowship!

Send a Kid to Camp – The Franklin Neighborhood Community Association day camp starts June 11th. Each camper is charged $40 for the seven weeks, but some will need scholarships.  As individuals some of us cannot afford to give $40, but as members of St. George’s our offerings will be pooled to provide scholarships for many of our young neighbors.  A donation envelope is waiting for you–please give what you can. Thank you!
