Announcements – February 23, 2014

Two Adult Classes each Sunday morning:
The Rector’s Forum is studying the Revelation to St. John the Divine. This morning we will continue our study of chapters 14 & 15 – the Lamb and the Church Triumphant. Everyone is welcome to join this group in the parish hall.
The Lambeth Bible Study is a meditative approach to scripture study, which seeks to help participants relate the Bible to their daily lives, to hear God’s voice and to grow in their relationship with Christ. The group meets in the Conference Room, downstairs in the parish house.

Tuesday Evening Bible Study – Everyone is invited to join Joe & Carol Hooten in a study of Ephesians on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm in Room 6. The series runs through April 1, 2014.

Ash Wednesday is March 5. St. George’s and St. Mark Lutheran will join together for two services of the Holy Eucharist and Imposition of Ashes: 9:30 am and 7:00 pm, both in the church.
If you have palm branches from last year, please bring them to church next Sunday so they can be used to provide ashes for our services.

An inventory of church assets needs to be completed and anyone interested in helping is asked to contact Joe Hooten. Also, Joe is interested in input from anyone who may have helped with the last inventory, which was in the mid 1990s. Joe can be reached at 618.567.9693.

Church Security Plan: Joe Hooten and Dennis Snep (St. Mark) have been working on developing a security plan for our churches. Others who may be interested in participating in the development phase of this important endeavor are welcome. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Joe Hooten at 235-7290.
