INQUIRERS’ CLASSES: For the next two Sundays, we will focus on the essential doctrine of the Christian Church by exploring the Apostles’ Creed. Developed in the mid-Second Century AD (!) in Rome, this Creed declares our faith in God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This Sunday, Fr. Dale will teach on “I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord.” Everyone is invited to attend the class!

YOUTH EVENT TRUST COURSE & LOCK-IN: The Episcopal Diocese of Springfield Youth Department has planed an event for 6th through 8th graders on Saturday, September 14 through Sunday, September 15, at St. John’s Church, Decatur, IL. The event begins at 12:15 on Saturday. Participants will spend four hours completing the Trust Course Program and dinner at the church and the lock-in will follow. Several activities are scheduled during the lock-in including a Bible Hunt. Participants will attend church services at St. John’s on Sunday morning, have breakfast, and be ready for pick up by parents at 9:15 a.m. Additional information about the program can be found on the flyer posted on the bulletin board in Parish Hall. SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE: The new school year is fast approaching, which means it’s time for the annual school supply drive benefitting the Franklin Neighborhood Association. The drive begins today and runs through Sunday, August 11. Items can be dropped by the church office during the week, or can be placed in the Canterbury Room on Sundays.
