Announcements for July 7

INQUIRERS’ CLASSES: For the next three Sundays, we will focus on the essential doctrine of the Christian Church by exploring the Apostles’ Creed. Developed in the mid-Second Century AD (!) in Rome, this Creed declares our faith in God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This Sunday, Fr. Dale will teach on “I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth.” Everyone is invited to attend the class!

EXPANDING OUR DIGITAL OPPORTUNITIES was one of the insights that came from our Renewal Works program this spring. Our first opportunity will be a new bible study group hosted in a Facebook group site. The site is set up as a “secret” group so that no one outside the group can see our conversation. Everyone is invited.
Our first study will be the Gospel of John. We will be using Conversations with Scripture: The Gospel of John by Cynthia Briggs Kittredge, produced by the Anglican Association of Biblical Scholars Study Series as a guide and starting point for discussion. You will also need a bible, any translation. This will be a communal study group without a “teacher”. Michelle Ziegler will act as a facilitator, gathering resources and keeping the group moving forward. We will start in earnest today, June 30th. Fill out the form on the website or contact Michelle Ziegler or Mae Scott to join the group.

THE WEDG (Women’s Ecumenical Dining Group) will be gathering at Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, 108 East Main, Belleville, at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, July 17. All women 18 and up are invited. Please call the office for reservations (233-6320).
Come for Good Fun, Good Food, and Good Conversation.

2ND QUARTER GIVING STATEMENTS are available in the Canterbury Room this morning.
