Announcements for May 19

THE ENDOWMENT OF THE DIOCESE OFFERING is traditionally received on Pentecost. Envelopes are included in the bulletin this morning and can be placed in the offering plate.

DEADLINE FOR NEWSLETTER ARTICLES for the summer edition is tomorrow by the end of business. This edition includes both June and July so any submissions should include information for both months. The next newsletter will be the August edition.

THE SUNDAY SCHOOL FAMILY TREE PROJECT will be wrapping up soon, so if you have not already printed your name and date you became part of our church family, then please do so this morning. A basket of paper leaves is available in the Canterbury Room.

PENTECOST PRAISE: The Darrow Deanery Churches invite you to participate in PENTECOST PRAISE: Joining together for the singing of familiar hymns and fellowship on Sunday, May 19, 4pm, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 10 East Third St., Alton. Refreshments will follow.

THE SEND A KID TO CAMP sponsorship program begins this today. The Community Service Commission invites all who are able to sponsor a child to attend the Franklin Neighborhood Community Association Summer Camp Program for eight weeks, June 10 – July 30. The actual cost to send one child to camp is $200, but a gift of $40 or any amount is greatly appreciated. Envelopes are available in the Canterbury Room that can be used for your gift, which will be received until the end of the month.

THE FOLKSINGERS will be providing the music on at the 10:30 Eucharist on Trinity Sunday!

HELP WANTED: Volunteers are needed with lawn maintenance. Please sign up on the sheet in the Canterbury Room or contact Joe Hooten for more information.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES begin on Sunday June 2, 2013, at 9:15am. Contact Fr. Dale for additional information.

A BLOOD DRIVE has been scheduled for Sunday, June 9, 2013, from 9am – 1pm in the Parish Hall.

THE PARISH PICNIC has been scheduled for Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Toddhall. The events of the day begin at 11am with Holy Eucharist held near the Labyrinth. A potluck lunch, games, and other activities follow and everyone is invited to attend.
