ADULT FORUM CONTINUES WITH I CORINTHIANS. Fr. Dale will continue leading the study of Paul’s important first letter to the church in Corinth. The letter was written around 55 AD, with Paul’s great concern that this new church, which he founded, centers their lives on the Gospel of Jesus and not on powerful and emotional personalities. In a culture in the United States, in which Americans are susceptible to manipulative and deceptive “religious” personalities, Paul’s letter is a warning not to fall victim to such leaders. Promises of wealth, success, health, or happiness, even church growth are all based on a false understanding of the message of Jesus and his cross.
