THE ADULT FORUM RETURNS with Fr. Dale today and teaching from St. Paul’s First Epistle to the Christian Community in Corinth. In chapter two, Paul talks about the Gospel message being focused on the Cross of Jesus as the means of salvation, and that this is not to be confused with self reliance or self help methods of salesmanship! Any reliance on magnetic personalities or clever ways of presenting the Gospel are forbidden by Paul.
FOR PASTORAL CARE AFTER OFFICE HOURS, contact Fr. Dale at 789-3723, or by e-mail at email@example.com. He takes Monday as his day off. To schedule an appointment, call the parish office, 233-6320. Deacon Jody can be reached at 505-913-0375.

THE FOOD PANTRY is still in need of contributions. Recent donations from District 118 and the scouts helped, but they won’t last long. Contributions of food items (including canned meats, fruits, and vegetables, cereal, pasta & sauce, Helper meals, cake mixes, Jello, dried potatoes, rice, etc.), toiletries, and cleaning items are needed and greatly appreciated.
DON’T FORGET TO PICK UP YOUR FIRST QUARTER GIVING STATEMENTS. They are available in the Canterbury Room this morning.

THE COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMISSION is sponsoring FNCA Send a Kid to Camp program. $40 will help Send a Kid to the Franklin Neighborhood Community Association Summer Camp Program for 8 weeks, June 4 – July 27. The actual cost of the program is $200 per child, but a gift of $40 is a great help. FNCA holds two camps for 100 low income children at each camp. A variety of recreational, educational and life skill programs will be offered. In addition, forty campers will arrive at 10:30 am for tutoring. Located across the street from Franklin School, FNCA is a valuable resource. They’ve held summer camp for 15 years and it’s been a great success. Donations of any size will help. Please take an envelope from the tree in the Canterbury Room, mark your check FNCA: Send a Kid to Camp and place it in the offering plate.
