The Altar Flowers are given today to the glory of God by Dr. Nancy Ypma in thanksgiving for the choirs.

ADULT FORUM: Fr. Dale will conclude the Bible Study of Paul’s Letter to the Galatians, today, November 14.  Everyone is welcome.  Bring your Bible! Next week, November 20 the Holy Roamers will give a report on their trip.

We are offering classes for all ages. Children and Youth – Meet in the Chapel for the opening, rousing singing led by Joe Hooten and Chelsea Meyer! Then at 9:10 – follow your teachers to classes.

PLEASE RETURN YOUR PLEDGE CARD, if you haven’t already done so.  Pledge cards are available in the Canterbury Room.

HOLY EUCHARIST AND HEALING SERVICE is in the chapel at 9:30 am celebrated every Wednesday.  EVENING PRAYER is offered on Wednesday evenings now with St. Mark parishioners at 7:00 pm in the church.  If you would like a chance to officiate ask Fr. Dale.

2011 EPISCOPAL LITURGICAL CALENDAR is available in the church office. Cost is $2.

BOY SCOUT FOOD DRIVE: Volunteers will be needed Sat., Nov. 20, to help sort food from the Boy Scouts Annual Food Drive beginning at 9:00 am in the Parish Hall. Call George Evans, 398-8250.

THE 2011 FLOWER CHART IS POSTED ON THE KIOSK IN THE PARISH HALL. The cost of the altar flowers is $40.  Altar flowers can be given in memory of a loved one or occasion of celebration.

Dear St. George’s Parish,

Christmas 2010 is just around the corner! Community Service is sponsoring the Lutheran Family Services Children’s Home and Foster Care Program beginning Nov. 7th – 28th. Please take a Christmas tag or two off the Tree and a child/children’s information from the manila envelope. Please return wrapped gift with label no later than Wed., Dec. 15th.  Community Service asks you not spend more than $50.00 per child.  Do not feel bound to purchase large ticket items, all kids dream big.  However, if a child asks only for a pair of sox, please include a doll, teddy bear, a watch or a board game, to make their Christmas day special!

Thank you for your continued support for Community Services Christmas Project

St. George’s Church will be holding an American Red Cross Blood Drive today, Sunday, Nov. 14 from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm in the Parish Hall.

In thanksgiving for our kids at St Georges, the evangelism commission is asking for the donation of new toys for children age 6 and under for the remodeled nursery. We will be collecting toys on Nov 21 & 28 (Sundays before and after Thanksgiving). No battery operated toys please. Donations toward the nursery are welcome.

THE YOUTH GROUP IS TAKING PIE ORDERS FOR THANKSGIVING – An order form is on the table in the Canterbury Room or on the KIOSK in the parish Hall or call Dana Meyer, 539-3742. Pecan, Chocolate Chip Pecan, Pumpkin, 2 layer Pumpkin, Apple Crumb & Cherry Crumb.  Pies ready for pick-up, Wed. Nov. 24, 5-7 in Parish Hall.

The WEDG (Women’s Ecumenical Dining Group) will be gathering at Fishcer’s Restaurant on Thurs., Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. Fischer’s is locate at 2100 West Main in Belleville. All women age 18 and up are invited to come at this Advent time to enjoy the anticipation of the coming season. Please call the office for reservations by Tues., November 30.
