THE SANCTUARY LIGHT is lit today to the glory of God by the Carol Ludwick in celebration of Samantha’s birthday.
EVENSONG – THIS AFTERNOON AT 4:00 PM, there will be an Evensong service to celebrate Fr. Dale’s installation as Rector of St. George’s. Many of us were not able to be present on July 25th to celebrate this event; this service will give all of St. George’s another opportunity to celebrate Fr. Dale’s installation. The adult choir will sing for the service and a reception will follow. Please join us for this special service.
TODAY we will be using the JOY SONG BOOK. Please pick up one from the ushers at the beginning of the service, and at the end the service return it to the cart in the Canterbury Room. Thank you.

HOLY EUCHARIST AND HEALING SERVICE is in the chapel at 9:30 am celebrated every Wednesday. EVENING PRAYER is offered on Wednesday evenings now with St. Mark parishioners at 7:00 pm in the church. If you would like a chance to officiate ask Fr. Dale.
THERE WILL BE A MEETING OF ALL THOSE INTERESTED IN STARTING AN EFM GROUP today, Sun., Sept. 19 following the 4:00 Evensong. EFM is a four year study of the Bible and Church history. AT RALLY DAY, we took photos to create both a poster board identifying everyone and also to attempt to create a St. George’s members photo directory. We will be taking pictures after the services hoping to take everyone’s picture.
THERE ARE TWO SIGN UP SHEETS IN THE PARISH HALL FOR THE CHILI COOKOFF. One is for the cooking schedule and the other is for the booth. Please check your schedule and sign up to support this effort.
ST GEORGE’S BOOK CLUB next Sun., Sept. 26, at 4:30 pm in the Parish Hall. We have chosen Tatiana de Rosnay’s novel, Sarah’s Key, for next time. Sign-up sheet, to read a copy of the book purchased for the church library, is on the library table.
The WEDG (Women’s Ecumenical Dining Group) will be gathering at Maxwell’s Restaurant (277-4799) on Thur., Sept. 30 at 6:30 p.m. Maxwell’s is located at 927 West Main, Belleville. Please call the office, 233-6320, for reservations (head count). Come for good fun, food, and good conversation
