CELEBRATION OF NEW MINISTRY ON SUN. JUL. 25, at 4:00 pm.

Fr. Dale will be installed as our new Rector. A supper will be served afterward.   On Sunday, July 25, there will be only one morning service at 10:30 am Morning Prayer.  Everyone is invited to attend the Holy Eucharist at 4 pm.

HOLY EUCHARIST AND HEALING SERVICE is in the chapel at 9:30 am celebrated every Wednesday.   EVENING PRAYER is read on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 pm in the church.  This quiet prayer service is led by Fr. Dale.

THE DIOCESAN SEARCH COMMITTEE has posted on the Diocesan web-site pictures and responses of all 14 nominees for Bishop.  You may find it at diocese@episcopalspringfield.org.  The Diocesan Synod will meet on Saturday, August 7 to reduce the field to 4.  Our delegation are Fr. Dale, Marilynn Belleville, Chuck Evans, Cindy Lynk, Frank Rogers and Michelle Ziegler. The President of the Episcopal Church’s House of Deputies, Bonnie Anderson, will be at Decatur, IL. On Friday evening July 23 at 7 pm to speak about the Ministry of the Baptized.  Everyone is welcome.

The Second Quarter Financial Statement are available on the table in the Canterbury Room.

THE WEDG (Women’s Ecumenical Dining Group) will be dining on Wed., July 14, at 6:30 pm. We will be gathering at Sakura Hibachi Sushi Bar in O’Fallon, 1334 Central Park Dr. (632-8886).   Please call the office, 233-6320, for reservations (headcount).

REMINDER: Holy Roamers!  Let’s get together to talk about our trip to the Holy Land, Thurs,, Jul. 15, at 7:00 pm in the Parish Hall.  All are welcome.

ST GEORGE’S BOOK CLUB will meet on Sun., Aug. 29 at 4:30. We have chosen Tatiana de Rosnay’s novel Sarah’s Key for next time. Selected as one of Macmillian’s Readers Group Gold, all the reviews claim it will be a great read and a good group discussion. A sign up sheet to read a copy of the book purchased for the church library is on the library table.

ST. MICHAELS’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH would like to invite St. George’s children ages 4-10 to join them the week of July 26-30 from 5:30-8:30 pm for Vacation Bible School.
