POTLUCK BREAKFAST TODAY AT 9:00 AM. Everyone is invited to celebrate the end of the church school year.  After breakfast, Ross Kincaid will lead a discussion on the possibility of organizing parish mission trips.

MAKE PLANS to attend the PARISH PICNIC ON SUNDAY, JUNE 6, at Toddhall.  Holy Eucharist will be held at 11:00 am at the outdoor chapel.  Grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided.  Please bring a dish to share – (salad, chips, vegetables, fruits or dessert). For directions to Toddhall (south on 158, a few miles past Millstadt) pick up a map in the Canterbury Room – Narthex.

VISITORS:  Please sign the guest book as you leave.  You may indicate there if you need a name tag.

HEY!! We have many new folks attending and we urge all parishioners to wear their name tags.  If you need a name tag, please contact the church office.

THE ALTAR FLOWERS are given today to the glory of God by John and Becky Miller in celebration of their daughter, Rachel’s wedding.

THE SANCTUARY LIGHT is lit today to the glory of God by Sheri and David Welch in memory of Carol Smale.

TODAY is the FEAST of PENTECOST/WHITSUNDAY and is designated for the Diocesan Endowment Fund collection.  Envelopes are enclosed.  This offering is an opportunity once a year for individuals throughout our diocese to contribute in a lasting way to the future growth of our portion of Christ’s church.

EVENING PRAYER is read on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 pm in the church. This quiet prayer service is led by Fr. Dale.

The WEDG (Women’s Ecumenical Dining Group) will be gathering at Henley’s Grille and Tap (the old J. Bucks) at the St. Clair Mall on Wed., Jun. 2, at 6:30 pm. Please call the church office for reservations, 233-6320.

THE BOOK CLUB will be tackling Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom at our next meeting on Sun., Jun. 27, at 4:30 pm in the Parish Hall.

PROPERTY COMMISSION needs lawn care volunteers for June, August and October. Contact Joe Hooten, 235-7290,

CARE AND COUNSELING, a professional counseling service in the Metro-East, now has office hours at St. George’s on Mondays from 3:30 to 7:00 pm.  For an appointment with therapist, John Perry, call Care and Counseling in St. Louis at (314) 878-4340.

2010 FNCA (Franklin Neighborhood Community Association) Send a Kid to Camp for 8 weeks, June 7-July 30 – (actual cost is $200 per child).  Donations will help pay the cost of hiring college students to supervise activities, scholarships, personnel, & funds to purchase camp supplies, activities, & busses.  Please take an envelope from the tree in the Canterbury Rm., make check to St. George’s Episcopal Church/notate FNA: Send a Kid to Camp, & place in the offering plate.  Collections will be through May.
