WOULD JESUS RECOGNIZE TODAY’S WORSHIP?
This Sunday at the Adult Forum at 9:15, Fr. Dale will outline the development of the Holy Eucharist from Jesus’ Last Supper to today’s worship. Why do we have the Ministry of the Word? Where does the Peace come from? Why is the Eucharist the central act of Christian worship? Is Jesus really and truly present in the Eucharistic bread and wine as all the Liturgical Churches believe?
STEWARDSHIP The “official” Ingathering was Nov. 13. Thank you to all who submitted their pledges. For those who haven’t, it’s not too late. Please place your pledge card in the collection plate or send it to the church office. This helps us do a better job with developing next year’s budget.
2012 Offering envelopes are on the table in the Canterbury Room.
THE CRISIS FUND is in need of donations. If you are looking for a place to make a donation before the end of the year please take this worthwhile service into consideration. Thank you very much.
2012 FLOWER CHART IS POSTED IN THE CANTERBURY ROOM. The cost of the altar flowers is $40. Altar flowers can be given in memory of a loved one or occasion of celebration.
MEMORIAL ENVELOPES FOR CHRISTMAS GREENERY are in the pews and also inserted in this bulletin. Offering and names must be turned into the office by Thursday, December 15 to be included in the Christmas bulletins.
2012 EPISCOPAL LITURGICAL CALENDARS are available in the Church Office. Cost is $3.
On Wed. Dec. 14 at 7 pm St. Mark Lutheran Church will have a “Blue Christmas Service” in the church. A “Blue Christmas” service is a special worship service for anyone who finds it difficult to rejoice this Christmas.
Sometimes this may be because of a death of a loved one, loss of work or health issues. It is an opportunity to listen, pray, sing, light a candle and be comforted by God. Everyone is invited.
