ADULT FORUM FOR MAY. Today through Sunday, May 31, Fr. Dale will teach classes on the history and meaning of the Holy Eucharist at the adult forum in the Parish Hall at 9:10 am. Bring your Bible.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CHORISTERS who are receiving their medals today.  The Choristers are Jenna Maves, Emily DeHoyos, Evan Tenpenny, Kiri Evans, Stephen Korte  and Morgan Meise.

THE WEDG (WOMEN’S ECUMENICAL DINING GROUP): All women (18 and older) are invited to Outlaw Blues Restaurant, O’Fallon, on Tuesday, May 12, at 6:30 pm.  It is located at 1214 Central Park Drive, between Greenmount Crossing and the 15 Cine.  Please call the office, 233-6320, for a head count.

ASCENSION DAY, THURSDAY, MAY 21, will be celebrated at 7:00 pm with a joint service in the church with St. Mark Lutheran and Peace Lutheran.  We will use the Lutheran liturgy.  Fr. Dale will give the homily.  An ice cream social will be held after the service.

CHURCH CAMP APPLICATION 2009 CHURCH CAMP, Sun., Jun. 28, to Sat., Jul. 4. Applications are available in the church office.  All applications must be postmarked by Jun. 1.

Send A Kid to Camp Franklin Neighborhood’s Summer Program: St. George’s Parish and St. Mark Lutheran, FNA’s summer program includes morning tutoring, lunch, and afternoon summer activities from June through July for children Kindergarten – 6th Grade.  Please support this educational experience for children to explore the world beyond their own doorstep!

Our thanks to Terry Paeltz! Terry has given up the reins of the St. George’s Dragon.  We have enjoyed her expertise as editor for the past three years.  The new editor is Tom Boschert.  Please direct all Dragon information and stories to STGDragon@gmail.com or stgeorgeoffice@sbcglobal.net. Deadline for the newsletter is Monday, May 18. The Dragon this time will be for two months covering June and July activities.  Please include all your information for the first two months of summer regarding schedules and calendar dates.

WORK WEEK 2009 – JUNE 14-20, 2009. Open to all incoming freshmen and graduating seniors.  Applications are available in the church office.  Cost to participate: $55-60 for Six Flags and Recreation.  For more information or to submit an application, contact Joe Hooten at 235-7290 or jhoo10@charter.net.  Application deadline is May 22, 2009.
